This section includes draft criteria established by SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP). We have included these criteria as one example of what it means to be evidence-based. However, please note that these criteria are currently under revision.

Later this summer, SAMHSA will solicit formal public comment on the agency’s plans for NREPP. After receiving and processing public comments, SAMHSA will finalize the agency’s NREPP efforts, culminating in the launching of a new NREPP web site sometime in 2006.
